Transgender TikTok influencer Girlalala was fatally shot in Florida following an argument with her boyfriend, according to authorities.
Girlalala, 21, who has nearly 300,000 followers on TikTok, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a car outside a home in Lauderdale Lakes, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, as reported by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Incident Details
Authorities stated that she was pronounced dead shortly after being transported to a nearby hospital. The incident occurred during a physical confrontation inside the vehicle between Girlalala and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Shanoyd Whyte Jr.
According to arrest documents, the couple was engaged in a verbal argument which escalated when Girlalala allegedly pulled Whyte’s hair. Whyte then reportedly pulled out his firearm, though he declined to provide further information on the incident.
Response and Arrest
After the shooting, Whyte called 911, prompting an immediate investigation. He was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm. A firearm was confiscated at the scene of the incident.
It remains unclear if Whyte currently has legal representation.
