Shooting Incident Details

According to numerous sources, the shooting followed a verbal altercation that escalated. The NYPD stated that Boyd was leaving an Asian fusion restaurant with a small group when they encountered another group that had also exited the establishment. An argument ensued, leading one member of the opposing group to pull out a gun and fire twice, with one bullet striking Boyd in the chest.

Boyd was taken to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition and was reportedly fluctuating in and out of consciousness. By Sunday night, police officials noted that he was in stable condition. Investigators have yet to determine if the initial dispute involved Boyd or a different group present at the scene.

The NYPD has released images of a man wanted for questioning in connection to the case. The individual was last seen wearing a black hat, black sweatshirt, black pants, and multicolored sneakers, while carrying a black backpack. He fled the scene on foot heading east on West 38th Street. Additionally, authorities are searching for two luxury vehicles, a BMW and a Mercedes, that left the area post-incident. No arrests have been made so far.
