Donald Marshall hails from County Durham and was inspired to become a pantomime dame during his youth, influenced by comedian Chris Hayward. He later pursued his education at Newcastle University.
Ginger Johnson’s Rise to Fame
Ginger Johnson is Donald Marshall’s drag persona. She gained recognition in the London LGBTQ+ nightlife scene before appearing on Drag Race UK, where she garnered significant acclaim.
She notably won season five of the competition, with standout moments including an impersonation of author Barbara Cartland during the Snatch Game.
Post-Drag Race Career
Following her success on Drag Race UK, Ginger Johnson created her own sitcom/chat show titled Ginger’s House. She has also performed solo at the Soho Theatre in London and completed a tour of the UK as part of the “Angels of the North.”
Celebrity Masterchef will premiere on BBC1 at 8 PM on November 18, with a subsequent episode airing on November 20 at 9 PM.
